General Monitoring
Overview - Base Models, Graphical Models

The building block of our facility monitoring is typically a rack mountable device which incorporates digital (on/off, alarm/no alarm) and analog (temperature, humidity, voltage, amps, kW, kVA etc) information. Each point is wired directly to the rear of the unit. Multiple units may be networked together. Each system starts out with the ability to monitor (8) points. Optional cards may be installed into the 2U housing to allow monitoring of up to 104 points. Where sites have modbus enabled devices, such may be brought into modbus enabled housings. A wealth of monitoring may be brought together simply and reliably with this unit.
Monitored points may be set up as status points or alarm points. An internal log keeps track of the history. Data is presented via a self hosted web page. Alerts may be sent by paging, email or SNMP. As a site grows or becomes more sophisticated information accumulated by the system can be brought into a graphic monitoring and management system.

For smaller and simpler monitoring needs the unit above will monitor 8 digital points and 3 temperature/humidity sensors in a very low cost package.
As we work with a customer on general monitoring, potential monitored points will include,
- Generators
- Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
- UPS Systems
- Battery Systems
- Power Distribution Units
- Computer Room Air Conditioning
- Water Detection
- FIre Suppression
- Server Cabinet Security
- Facility Doors
- Camera Systems
- Miscellaneous Analog and Digital Points
